2. Julius Caesar - Was a daring leader who brought Rome to order

4. absolute ruler - one who has total power
5. augustus - exalted one
6. Pax Romana - The period of peace and prosperity
7.gladiators - professional fighters

1. Rome's population numbered between 60 and 80 million
people
2. the Roman Empire included more than 3 million
square miles
3. About 1 million people lived in the city of Rome
I think that when more people came to Rome being overpopulated may have been a problem.

HW#4; The Creation Myth of Rome
1. Romulus and Remus were both raised away from their uncle because it wasn't lawful for his sister to be pregnant before the age of 30.
2. They both became to be rulers of their land because they deiced to kill their uncle and to over the land.
3. Romulus became ruler of the land because him and his brother got into a fight and Romulus killed Remus.

6. The word Latin comes from the tribe called Latin that was developed in Rome

8. The myth is basically a store or legend that was told. A historical fact is a fact that can be proven.

HW #8
1. Babylon was the first civilization on earth to have a written legal code.
2. Hammurabi's Ordeal was a painful even deadly test of gilt or innocence. This law was in affect when someone was accuse of committing a crime. Their tongues would be burnt and examined by the Mobashi. Only the Mobashi can tell if the person is guilty or innocent. The Ordeal is still practice in some tribes.
3. Hammurabi's law helped create the Bible.
4. Hammurabi did not invent these laws. He just wrote them down.

The main topic of this article is that China is trying to attract more foreign students to study for degrees.
China is trying to attract more foreign student. They are planning to get 150,000 foreign students to study for degrees by 2020. They are offering more scholarships to the students and asking other governments to do the same. They are doing this because its a plan of the country to get more power or influence through culture and diplomacy.
I choose this article because were are studying about civilization in Global class. China is one of these civilization that we are studying.
This article is related to what were are studying because it had to do with civilization. One of the eight factors of civilization was learning.
